This listing includes one Flying Eagle Cent dated between 1857 or 1858. James R. Snowden ordered about 1,000 1856 Flying Eagle Cents to be struck without official authorization. This new design was a much smaller coin compared to the "large cent" it replaced.
These coins are made of a copper nickel composition. Only minted for 2 years, these coins are always in high demand! These coins are in average circulated condition, some may have small imperfections. Pictures are stock photos, dates and condition will vary.
